We’re excited to introduce SAFFT4EU – Food Forester Training!
We are an EU-funded Erasmus+ project empowering practitioners in agriculture and horticulture to understand, operate, and further develop species-rich forest garden systems (Food Forests).
🌿 Sustainable. Practical. Forward-looking.
Agroforestry systems stabilize yields, promote biodiversity and humus formation, improve soil health, reduce soil erosion, and retain water – combining ecological responsibility with economic efficiency.
🌍 What to expect:
▪️ Online learning modules in local languages as well as in English (German, Bulgarian, Portuguese, English)
▪️ Hands-on workshops in four European countries (Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Portugal)
▪️ Practical knowledge on plants, soil, ecosystem management & marketing
▪️ Exchange of best practices across Europe
We are working on these contents in an international consortium of 6 partner organisations: DeFAF_ev (DE), @Nahrungswald e.V. (DE), The Balkan Ecology Project (BL), vErde regenerativ e.V. as part of @hofverde (DE), Österreichisches Waldgarten-Institut (AT), and Wildforestgarden (PT). Together, we’re shaping a resilient and sustainable future for European agriculture.
